1. What is URLTrak?
An ad tracking service that provides you with real-time tracking and statistics with reporting.

2. What is a link tracking / ad tracking service?
A service that allows you to track click-throughs from your links to your ad/site/service/program. The purpose of this service is to give you an open-eye view of what method of advertising is working for you. You will be able know more about what is working and what is not working, saving you tons of time and money in the long run.

3. What exactly is real-time tracking?
For URLTrak, real-time tracking is the ability to watch click throughs to your links as they happen. You view a web page that updates itself every minute to display collected information about the users who click your links, such as browser, operating system, version of operating system, user IP, ISP, exact date and time of the click, and additional information that you use in your link to gather from where your link was placed (e.g., a specific safelist, a specific traffic exchange, a specific ffa), the type of method used (e.g., safelist, banner exchange, ffa), the date you placed the link (this way, when someone clicks your links, you can see exactly what link they clicked. You may have sent out an ad with an URLTrak link months ago, and you will see clickthroughs months later. This is interesting to see.) as well as extra information you add on to your link.

4. What information is collected for tracking purposes?
When anyone clicks an URLTrak link, the following information is collected:

• Date and Time of the click
• IP
• ISP (not always available, will default to IP if not available.)
• User Agent (browser type & version, operating system & version)
• Actual link they clicked
• Referrer if there is one

In addition to the above, the following optional information can be collected, which would be specified by you:

• "Where" - Exact place of advertising (where you placed the URLTrak link(s))
• "What" - Type of advertising used (such as safelist, banner exchange, ffa, etc.)
• "When" - Date you placed the ad, in the format of YYYYMMDD, such as 20021210. This is not to be confused with the Date & Time of click as listed above.

What is most important for you to track would be the last 3 bits of information (where, what and when) listed above . This is what will ultimately help you realize what methods of advertising are working best for you. Knowing these things will help you save tons of time and money. You must also realize that it is up to you to specify this information in your links. URLTrak will automatically collect the default information (Date & Time of click, IP, ISP, Agent, etc.).

5. Can I spam using my URLTrak links?
Certainly not. If you do, your account will be terminated at once. Simply do not spam using URLTrak. Spamming is invasive and highly unwelcome by most, if not all, people. If you are unsure if your method of promotion is considered spam, please email us. Better safe than sorry!

Besides, URLTrak is a serious service for serious marketers or anyone with a service or program they spend time and/or money on advertising. Why risk your online reputation or being shut down for spamming? It can happen to you, and it is just not worth the risk.

6. What happens if URLTrak goes down?
It is possible that there could be downtime for URLTrak, such as the database temporarily unreachable or the site temporarily down. In the online world, downtime is inevitable, as you probably already know. Normal downtime typically lasts no more than a few seconds to minutes, at which point, URLTrak links will not be able to redirect to your links. That is the single disadvantage of the link tracking system.

What are the advantages of using the URLTrak tracking system?

Can I get a refund if I am unhappy?
Of course! If you are not happy with the URLTrak system in your first month, we will refund you the full price. We do have a limitation on the amount of time allowed to request refund before it is too late. You will have 7 days after paying to claim a refund. After 7 days, there will be no refunds allowed. Your refund will be returned to you immediately using PayPal's refund feature.
